Mammy vs. Granny

After last night I would definately recommend a visit to your grandparents house any time you feel like being looked after! I texted my Granda at half 8 last night and said 'hey, can I stay in dromiskin tonight?' he replied 'yes if u make up bed' and then I responded 'ok il c u at 9'. p.s. yeah my granda's 80 and he can text! So anyway I packed up all the things I needed for college the next morning, took my laptop and a book incase I was bored, spare clothes and of course my toothbrush! I took the 2 minute spin from Castlebellingham over to Dromiskin and was there at 9 on the dot.

I let myself in and before I could even drop my bag or say hello I was offered steak, apple tart, tea, coffee, crisps and even the remote control! What the hell is going on here I was thinking? Why do I not get dis much adoration in my own house? Generally, I just get ignored and am let fend for myself! I sat up with them for a while, had some tea and banter and then decided I better get to bed! Gran came down after me to bring me a hot water bottle and some extra blankets incase I'd get cold! Then she asked me what time I had to be up at and I told her 8 o'clock the latest. So we said our goodnights and went to bed!

This morning my alarm clock went off at 7.30 but as usual I ignored it and turned it off. Ten minutes later gran knocked on my door to get me up, this would also never happen at home, I got washed and dressed and headed down to the kitchen, there was gran standing at the cooker amking me a fry! Unbelievable! I never have time for breakfast. And she gave me the works! A full fry, tea, toast and a glass of fruit juice! Truth be told I didn't want to leave for college. I wanted to stay there and be catered to!

I'll definately be going there to stay with my grandparents more often! What a pair of legends!
